This webinar provides an introduction to AAPOR’s "A Meeting Place and More...", an update to a history of the organization first published in 1992. In addition there will be a discussion of the important trends that have been, and are, affecting AAPOR and the fields of survey and public opinion research more generally. The new history has 16 chapters by 18 authors. Six of the authors will be participating in this webinar to discuss important themes and developments and add material not covered in the completed volume.
